PROJECT 2地域医療再構築プロジェクトProject for the Reconstruction of Community Health CareTohoku University Reconstruction Action東北大学復興アクション震災後の宮城県内で長期にわたる大規模コホート調査を実施2013年より宮城県在住の12万人を対象に長期の健康状態を調べるコホート調査を始めました。採血や採尿、各種検査機器による測定で健康状態を調べ、アンケートを行っています。最初の3,744人の参加者の結果では、27％に抑うつ傾向、5%にPTSDの疑いが見られ、心理士によるケアを実施しています。Cohort studies in MiyagiPrefecture after the earthquakeCohort studies were initiated in 2013to investigate the long-term healthstatus of 120,000 people living inMiyagi Prefecture. The results for thefirst 3,744 participants revealed that27% had depressive tendencies, while5% were suspected to be sufferingfrom PTSD. Psychologists areproviding the necessary care for thesepatients.200人以上に急ぎの結果回付。調査の結果が健康管理に直結コホート調査では数か月後に主な結果が参加者に郵送されていますが、それを待たずに至急回付した件数が総計で2014年秋までに200件以上に上っています。重症高血圧や血液骨髄疾患などのケースで、測定された数値とともに、最寄りの医療機関での受診をお勧めするお手紙を発送したり、紹介状を書くなどして早期の受診につなげています。宮城県民1000人の全ゲノムを解析。全ゲノム参照パネルを構築2013年、ToMMoは宮城県在住の健常な日本人1000人分の全ゲノムの解読完了を発表し、翌年、精度が確認された一部のゲノム情報を公開しました。今後は解析をさらに進め、全ゲノム参照パネルを構築していきます。このパネルは日本人のゲノム解析の基礎となるとともに、被災地に根ざした次世代医療開発に資する大切な情報となります。Completed whole genomesequencing for 1,000 Miyagi residentsIn 2013, ToMMo announced that it hadcompleted the whole genomesequencing for 1,000 healthy Japaneseresidents of Miyagi Prefecture. 2014, itreleased some of the genomicinformation for which accuracy hasbeen verified. Going forward, ToMMowill undertake further sequencingactivities to build a whole genomereference panel.仙台市科学館にゲノム医療について常設展示を開設ゲノム科学の進展による個別化医療、個別化予防をテーマとした展示「ATGCナノの旅」を仙台市科学館にオープンしました。Urgent contact of health surveyresults to 200 peopleSome parts of the results from cohortstudies were urgently circulated to morethan 200 respondents by autumn 2014.These cases included participants sufferingfrom severe hypertension, and blood andbone marrow diseases. With the data,letters encouraging them to consult withthe nearest healthcare institution weresent out to these participants.Permanent exhibition aboutgenomic medicine set up in theSendai Science Museum“ATGC: A Wondlous Nano-ScaleJourney”, an exhibition based on thethemes of personalized medicine andpersonalized preventive medicinedeveloped through advancements ingenome science, opened in November2013 at the Sendai Science Museum.The exhibit is enjoyed by about300,000 museum visitors per year.「話してくれて、ありがとう」震災から3年。今、心が辛い方がたくさんいます。そういう方に電話をかけて、気持ちをうかがっています。辛い気持ちを話してくださったことには、いつも感謝しています。（工藤古都美・ToMMo臨床心理士）“Thank you for talking to us.”We call people affected by theearthquake. I am grateful that thevictims are willing to talk to us abouttheir pain.(Kotomi Kudo, clinical psychologist)200人におよぶGMRCを養成。被災地の雇用の一助にToMMoでは、コホート調査への研究協力を募る際のインフォームド・コンセント（IC）を多くの方に実施するために200人以上を各センターで現地雇用しています。専用のカリキュラムによる講習を経て、コホート研究について適切な知識を持ち、ICの手続きを適切に行う専門スタッフGMRC（ゲノム・メディカルリサーチコーディネーター）として活躍しています。Nurtured 200 people to become GMRCsToMMo employs people for the cohort studies. Training isprovided based on a dedicated curriculum that equipsemployees with accurate knowledge about the cohort study.These employees then serve as specialized GMRC (GenomeMedical Research Coordinators) who perform the proceduresfor obtaining informed consent from more participants.健康調査、開始一年半で4万5千人が参加。次世代医療の礎にコホート調査は開始後1年半が経過し、合計で45,000人を超える方々にご参加いただき（2014年11月現在）、「調査結果を参考に健康管理したい」等の声をいただいています。45,000 participants in healthstudies since its start1.5 years have passed since the launch ofthe cohort studies in 2013. As ofNovember 2014, More than 45,000people have participated. ToMMo aimsto continue them to convey diseaseprevention methods. We are keeping upwith research work, and developing afoundation for next-generation medicine.日本最大級のバイオバンク創設。次世代医療の基盤構築へバイオバンクとは生体試料などを保存し研究用に貸し出すシステムです。東北大学のバイオバンクにはコホート調査で提供いただいた血液や尿、唾液等（本数にして数百万本）が全て集められています。日本最大級となるこのバイオバンクは各地の研究者に活用されて次世代医療の基盤となり、よりよい未来の医療づくりに貢献します。Project Leader Message地域医療の復興を目指してEstablished Japan’s largest biobankA biobank is a system for storingbiological samples and lending themout for research purposes.
